Reporting to the Head of Design, operate IES software to improve building performance outcomes, provide compliance checks and evaluate Value engineering options.
Support the Mechanical Design team in design matters as work load dictates.
Attend Client meetings, surveys, and commissioning / site inspections, handovers.
Manage project issues and ensure resolution is achieved - relating to design.
Ensure that Mechanical Designs are in compliance with company policies & Mitie QA procedures.
Develop and incorporate best design practices.
Liaise with other design team members.
Managing the expectations and requirements of the Client team with respect to design.
Arranging and / or managing all project related design meetings.
Involvement in internal and external design process.
Responsibility for the delivery of projects in terms of time, quality and commercial risk awareness.
Writing design reports & presenting them to managers & Clients.
Managing the design communication process with Consultants and other related third parties within each project.
Ensure compliance with legislation and statutory testing requirements within all Projects
Ensure use of technical training registers and authorisation registers within areas of responsibility
Ensure project files and all filing is kept up to date and in accordance with QA procedures by contract admin team
Ensure full compliance with industry bodies at all times within areas of responsibility
Ensure the company Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and that they are enforced through all areas of responsibility
Ensure compliance with the Mitie Quality Management System within area of responsibility
To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time
To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required
Undertake Value Engineering reviews.
Proficient use of IES, MS Office and Autocad essential
Experience within Building Services is essential
Reliable, flexible and team player.
Driven and motivated and able to prioritise.
Project Management skills with respect to Design
Health and Safety management trained including CDM experience.
Knowledge of QMS procedures
Customer care / relationship building skills
Ability to manage and change successfully

Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;

Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and / or via your divisional incident reporting system;
Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;
Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;
Report actual and suspected security incidents;
