My client, a very established and expanding company based on the outskirts of Sevenoaks, is looking for an experienced and commercially focused Finance Manager to join their team.
This is an interesting role with a key objective to develop the Accounts Department into a Finance Function supporting financial and management reporting in a quickly expanding group of companies.
Monday to Friday : 9am to 5pm (additional hours may be required to meet the needs of the business)
Salary : £35,000-£45,000
The main responsibilities include :
Working alongside the Financial Director to develop systems and processes that support the development of the business and increase automation.
Manage the accounts team of 7 covering all ledger processing and management reporting.
Ensure that the Management Accounts are drafted on a timely basis for review by the Finance Director.
Assume responsibility for supervising and assisting with key monthly reconciliations
Support Directors and Managers in setting and maintaining budgets with P&L comparisons against budget and prior year.
Ensuring asset registers are kept up to date and future planned expenditure is understood.
Work with the Finance Director to develop weekly and monthly BI reports. .
Become a member of the overall business, assist non-financial managers develop their understanding of the business and make suggestions of commercial KPIs that will deliver enhanced understanding of performance and areas of improvement
Essential skills and experience :
A minimum of 5 years' experience in the finance function of an SME company.
Experience of Sage and Xero
Good understanding of financial and management reporting.
Very strong Excel skills, to include macros and VBA.
