Location Within1 hours’ commute of Liverpool or Manchester the work will be based acrossboth locations

Project types Commercial,education, higher education, leisure, high rise residential, acute healthcare,advanced manufacturing

Responsibilities :

  • Manage thedesign process during the pre-construction and as required, the constructionphase.
  • Fullyinvestigate Value engineering and value creation opportunities.
  • Interrogationof enquiry documents, in the form of an Employer’s Requirements.
  • Production of aContractor’s Proposal document in liaison with other internal departments.
  • Manage ourdesign process via external consultants.
  • Driveinnovative and cost effective solutions into the design.
  • Progress designissues within a strict timescale & ensure designers meet informationdelivery dates.
  • Review Subcontractor design proposals.
  • Verify &control status of consultants and subcontractors drawings and specifications& maintain registers.
  • Ensure theconsultant scope of services, responsibilities and fees are agreed.
  • Facilitate thecompletion of a project risk register.
  • Attend tenderlaunch / tender adjudication and launch meetings as required.
  • Key Skills and Qualifications :

    Previousexperience across the above project types.

    Previousexperience working for a tier 1 contractor.


    Have anunderstanding of different Client procurement routes.

    Experience ofsite / contract procedures would be an advantage.

    Ability toorganise, plan, programme and manage workloads.

    Understandingof Building Regulations and Planning Permission procedures.
