Senior Cloud Solutions Architect
The Senior Cloud Solutions Architect will provide highly skilled cloud solution governance, broad subject matter expertise on Hybrid, Multi-cloud and associated technologies, and help drive cloud-specific solutions, services, methodologies, tools and accelerators throughout the organisation.
As a passionate cloud evangelist working as a member of the Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE), the Senior Cloud Solutions Architect will collaborate with internal teams, drive innovation and inspire customers to transform their IT landscapes and help accelerate their journey to the cloud.
Focused on creating, developing, and promoting proven practices and ideas that will help streamline SCC processes and improve the quality of both internal team and customer experiences.
Main Duties of Job :
Collaborating and sharing proven cloud practices
Act as the key CCoE contact for customers and colleagues
Act as technical lead for cloud engagements
Provide cloud technology thought leadership to customers and colleagues
Participate in cloud presales activities in support of solution and sales force colleagues
Provide expertise in developing cloud solutions and associated technical documentation
Ensure alignment of business and technical objectives for internal and customer projects
Piloting new ideas and shaping new capabilities
Keeping abreast of developments in cloud technologies
Identifying and analysing issues that impact on the effective use of cloud
The sharing of ideas, tools, skills, learnings and solutions
The setting of standards as they apply to cloud
Develop and maintain centralized artefacts
Determining the cloud skills requirements, training and development for SCC staff
Receiving and responding to CCoE requests / feedback.
Complying with governance and regulatory requirements.
Assisting with defining SCC future direction in relation to cloud
Provide education to SCC sales teams relating to cloud technologies.
Participate in peer review of documentation for colleagues across SCC
Act as a mentor to lead and develop colleagues across SCC
To obtain and maintain cloud accreditations as required by CCoE
Skills, Knowledge & Experience :
At least 10 years experience of working in a professional services technology role
Significant experience of architecting and implementing cloud solutions
Expert knowledge of Azure cloud platform features and capabilities including
Azure networking & automation
ASR and Azure Backup
Azure AD and Domain Services
Azure Portal and ARM
Expert knowledge of Amazon Web Services cloud platform features and capabilities including :
S3, EC2, EMR, Glue, Kinesis, SWF, SQS / SNS etc.
Redshift, RDS, RDBMS
AWS Security, IAM, Groups etc,
Expert knowledge of Microsoft cloud identity and access management
Thorough understanding of key foundational technologies including network and network security infrastructure, storage area networking, and virtualization
Experience / knowledge of Azure Pack / Stack
Professional qualifications e.g. MCSA / MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, AWS Solutions Architect
An in-depth knowledge of industry standards and cloud architecture best practice techniques
Experienced in the management and motivation of technical personnel
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work as part of a team and also unaided
Commercially aware with strong client facing and vendor relationship management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines
Ability to adapt and prioritise workloads to meet client objectives
Ability to anticipate, communicate, and mitigate technical risks and issues
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 platform features and capabilities
Knowledge of ASP.NET Web API, Shell scripting, PL / SQL
Knowledge of Python, Scala, Core Java
Understanding of programme and project management methodologies
Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies
In-depth knowledge and experience of the IT services marketplace and the challenges facing customers
Current holder of or ability to obtain security clearance
