The goal of SAGE's Internal Communications Team is to support business growth goals through impactful strategic communications around culture, business strategy, and changes to policies and processes.
This position helps build and implement SAGE’s global internal communications strategy. They are a member of the Corporate Communications team and work closely across the business with members of Human Resources, DEI, IT, Marketing, and Cultural Initiative Leads our internal clients to communicate company news and information in a timely and professional manner while maintaining the Company's voice.
They will advise and work on maintaining our internal communications calendar, writing communications, optimizing channels, and evaluating the effectiveness of our internal communications to reinforce SAGE’s culture and support staff understanding of SAGE’s global business.
They will be able both to work hands-on with projects and to offer internal communications advice to senior stakeholders up to CEO level.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategic internal and executive communications plan, aligning all messaging with SAGE’s mission, vision, values, cultural goals, and business strategy.
Work cross-functionally across teams : Work in close partnership with Human Resources, IT, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and senior stakeholders to implement communication initiatives from concept to delivery.
Co-ordinate and produce employee communications : Develop and author a variety of internal and executive communications including presentations, announcements, articles, newsletters, videos, and other media to be delivered across multiple communications channels in collaboration with internal working groups.
Manage the internal communications channels : Maintain the calendar in coordination with internal customers, research and develop quotes from people, write stories, produce videos, and contribute to the Intranet.
Support leadership and company meetings and other events : Help craft the messaging and program through agenda, speaker selection and logistics.
Support the companies evolving listening program to ensure that our actions and communications respond to staff aspirations and concerns.
Advise senior managers on internal communications issues and their most effective solutions.
Qualifications & Education
5-7 years in an internal communications role, or strong proven experience and transferable skills from another role.
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills; team-player approach.
Outstanding communication skills (written and oral), including the capacity to develop effective presentations, implement polished written communications, and communicate clear, effective messages that improve and promote the mission, goals, and business objectives of the company;
writing samples required.
Independent and proactive problem solver adept at setting goals, prioritizing, and making decisions.
Strong project management skills and experience.
Ability to incorporate effective graphic standards into communications and maintain corporate brand guidelines.
Ability to analyze multiple inputs and feedback from multiple sources to deliver an outstanding, user-friendly, and optimized user experience via the company’s intranet.
Capable of working with a variety of internal customers, leaders, and audiences.
Ability to think strategically, plan, develop and complete multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment.
Ability to synthesize complex concepts quickly, navigate ambiguity, and creatively solve problems.
High level of proficiency with social software and other web-based technologies.
Ability to demonstrate behaviors aligned with the company's values and desired culture.

Experience of using Intranet platforms to improve communications, working in partnership with the Global Intranet Manager.
