A compelling communicator, with a deep understanding of either the General Insurance Industry or London Markets, you will be technology savvy, interested and passionate about how technology can innovate business to deliver real and tangible business benefits.

We are looking for someone who has vision, sector expertise, an interest in Insurtech ecosystems and professional acumen that delivers innovation with a customer focus.

At CGI, we are at the forefront of developing and implementing technologies and business processes that will shape tomorrow’s Insurance marketplace and searching for an experienced and ambitious Innovation and Strategy Director.

This is a Pre-Sales Enterprise Architecture role for Insurance.

Reporting to the Insurance CTO, this is a pivotal strategic role, responsible for shaping CGI’s future vision and go-to-market strategy for Insurances

Your future duties and responsibilities

This is a true growth role; you will be part of a diverse, dynamic and supportive leadership team accompanied with the leadership training packages to enable a long term career at CGI.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

The ideal candidate will have spent the majority of their career working for institutions and / or vendors / solution integrators in the Insurance sector, either General Insurance or London Markets.

You will be educated to degree level or above.

You will follow industry trends and be driven by the opportunities provided by Insure tech and other eco system partners to revolutionise and re-imagine Insurance.

This drive will help you lead the building out of an ecosystem of services and solutions, seeking out and developing third party partnerships whose offerings complement those of CGI.

You will have the experience and ability to translate those offerings into building solid business cases that support the value proposition for the client and CGI.

You will have worked on the design and development of modern IT infrastructures, with a focus on cloud deployments, resilient architectures and strong security designs.

You will ideally have worked with more than one cloud provider and be able to compare and contrast their respective offerings.

You will have had lead technology roles in the digital transformation of organisations at which you have worked, including design and implementation of loosely coupled architectures, interfacing with best of breed 3rd party solutions as well as core systems.

Ideally you will have had significant exposure to Insurance core platforms and understand either the General Insurance Business distribution landscape or London Markets technology landscape.

You will have experience of working on user experience and design led agile programmes and understand the importance of defining products from a customer-centric perspective.

Your experience means you look for the customer value in the propositions and solutions being developed, and are able to build effective cost benefit cases which will help business execs and prospects buy-in to the solution vision.

Ideally you will have had experience in product design and development, building out platform propositions that can meet the needs of a wide range of customer’s needs rather than point solutions.

You are a team player with a proactive, can-do attitude. You will probably have experience in working with technology teams, and most likely have experience of developing architectural solutions on a variety of initiatives from small POCs to large enterprise deliveries.

Having risen up the ranks you will have gained valuable experience of the sales process and think nothing of rolling your sleeves up and leading the development of technical proposals, RFP responses and proofs of value.
