K. Service Branch) & American International Group UK Ltd Actuarial professionals with expertise in quantitative analysis, insurance pricing, loss reserving, and risk quantification are integral to AIG’s success.

We have dedicated Finance Actuaries that play a critical role in assessing the reserve need and thereby ensuring strong financial condition of AIG’s insurance operating companies around the world.

Our Portfolio Analytics and Pricing Actuaries focus on directly supporting AIG’s businesses and are responsible for technical pricing, product development analytics, performance monitoring and measurement, as well as assessment of reinsurance needs.

This team also works with marketing, operations, and financial management to achieve AIG’s business objectives. Role Description Support the Actuarial business in the timely and accurate delivery of Reserve results for two AIG legal entities (AIG UK and AIG Europe) Design and implement improvements for the end to end reserving process Drive operational efficiency through the team by identifying and automating processes or making processes more efficient Provide training where necessary to Actuarial team on coding of process, validation scripts etc Assist in building and handing over incremental process changes throughout the team.

Help to co-ordinate the build of larger process changes throughout the team Support ad hoc data and reserving requests from stakeholders Assist with the documentation of processes for controls purposes (including SOX) Assist with the wider actuarial team on reserving activities as and when required.

Technical Skills and Expertise Bachelor degree or equivalent Experienced in ETL (data extraction, transformation and loading) and reports creation.

Strong knowledge of Excel, VBA, R & SQL essential and preferred experience in data visualization tools Meticulous in their approach with the ability to deep dive into the data to trace what’s driving unexpected trends in reports Ability to take ownership of a piece of work and work it to resolution with minimal guidance Familiarity with insurance and / or Actuarial concepts preferable Have a flexible attitude to work and a can-do mindset Professional behavior with high level of integrity It has been and will continue to be the policy of American International Group, Inc.
