Role Description

We’re looking for an experienced HR Consultant to join our collaborative HR function and help us deliver what matters to our organisation.

We’ve been through a large amount of change and this role will be a pivotal part of a new pooled HR projects resource within our HR Operations Team.

In this diverse role you will be accountable for providing expertise across a broad range of HR matters and project work touching on areas like Reward, Talent, ER and Learning.

Based in the city centre you will work in partnership with the Heads of HR, Centres of Expertise, HRBPs and key partners within the wider business to deliver elements of the people strategy and provide flexible support to both cyclical and large scale projects.

Key Outcomes

In this role you will :

  • Deliver the HR and people aspects of business change projects e.g. M&A, TUPE transfers, Joint Ventures, re-structures.
  • Own delivery of activities related to change projects : including (but not limited to) requirements gathering, crafting and managing project plans, executing plan activities, robust governance and managing partners
  • Advising and collaborating with the business and HR colleagues on complex change initiatives including business proposals, timelines and impacts.
  • Plan, advise and support the implementation of change, its impact on people and working practices in line with Standard Life Aberdeen’s culture and core values
  • Use data & analytics as well as Business and HR insight to inspire change initiatives at a strategic level
  • Hold the business and HR Function accountable for delivering core HR services and ensure they are within the agreed Service Level Agreements
  • Lead or supply to cross-functional projects as an active project member
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities across HR Service Delivery by acting as a colleague advocate
  • Experience

  • Experience in managing and delivering multiple HR projects in a complex changing environment
  • Experience with partner management at all levels including communication and influencing
  • Experience working in a HR Generalist role
  • Experience in Specialist HR Roles such as Reward, Talent, Learning and Diversity and Inclusion
