    The person :

  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with at least 2 Years PQE
  • Extensive and sound experience of working in residential conveyancing, including the more complex aspects
  • Working knowledge of referral arrangements and strong awareness of compliance issues
  • Familiarity with the CQS and panel memberships
  • Business development skills
  • IT literate with an understanding and willingness to pioneer and embrace system development to build efficiencies
  • Experience of building relationships with both new and existing clients and professionals
  • Fee Earner Responsibilities :

  • Maintaining development and client specific files
  • Ensuring details from the reservation form are correct on the system i.e. plot number, buyers name, address, price and incentives.
  • ending out standard letters, including any relevant information specific to the development / plot.
  • Keeping the client up-to-date at all times.
  • Maintaining all internal and client weekly reports applicable to the PC’s developments.
  • Maintaining a meticulous file that shows all correspondence including detailed file notes and phone records.
  • To deal with administrative routines, provide administrative support and produce routine letters.
  • Prompt billing using the firm’s case management system
  • To help with the drafting of accounts.
  • Promptly dealing with post
  • A team player who liaises with team members to resolve issues.
  • A team player who liaises with site set-up to resolve issues.
  • A team player who meets financial targets as set by the Property Director.
  • To engage in legal research as appropriate
  • To manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls, emails and facsimile transmissions as required.
  • To produce legal documentation as required.
  • Assist with reception of clients and arrangement of meetings as required
  • To operate case management system as and when appropriate.
  • Appreciation of legal procedures
  • Accuracy and duty of care and information security.
  • Assisting the Line Manager with the streamlining of precedents, systems and processes
  • Assisting the Line Manager with business development initiatives.
  • Assisting in the training and development of the residential team
