We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy IT 1st line team in Newport as a Desktop Support Technician. Here you will put your IT knowledge and experience to use though the following main responsibilities :

  • Provide excellent customer service by considering the end customer in everything that we do.
  • Resolving User Equipment IT Service Desk Tickets
  • Resolving Joiner Mover Leaver IT Service Desk Tickets
  • User IT Equipment Asset management
  • Meeting room IT equipment maintenance
  • IT Purchase order management
  • Printer management
  • Enhanced IT support for Senior Management
  • Backup Management
  • This is a very past paced role that requires the successful candidate to be 100&% office based, working core day hours (I.E. between 8am and 6pm)

    We want to hear from you if you have :

  • Excellent time management

  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a can do attitude
  • You'll need to demonstrate the following knowledge / experience :

  • 1+ year working within Information Technology and supporting end users
  • 1st line Microsoft Desktop software knowledge (i.e. Windows 7 / 10, Office 2010 / 2013 / 2016)
  • 1st line Microsoft Server knowledge (i.e. Server 2008 / 2012 )
  • 1st line Microsoft Server Application knowledge (i.e. Exchange, Active Directory )
  • Working experience of ITIL processes and procedures.
  • Experience working within a professional and busy IT Service Desk.
  • Ability to setup desks with user equipment (i.e. Monitors, Desktop, Telephone)
