HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

A key member of the category team with the ability to translate category performance drivers, consumer insight and shopper trends into retailer and shopper occasion category stories, to allow us to deliver the triple win for Kellogg, retailers and the Customer.

Category Manager responsibility for delivering sustainable category growth by :

  • Communicating clear category performance drivers, both internally to Kellogg’s key teams and externally to the customer.
  • Turning insight into actionable category recommendations to the customer - Lead and influence with credible retailer recommendations on all 4ps from price and promotions to range and space in line with the retailers’ timings and aligned KPIs
  • Translate Kellogg’s Vision and the retailers’ strategy into a customer category plan aligned to key KPIs across both businesses.
  • Be the credible voice of the shopper and consumer, building relationships and trust with the team and sharing best practice & learnings.
  • Ensuring internal cross functional departments have a clear understanding of performance drivers and challenges in the customer and demonstrating Kellogg’s category leadership.
  • Support & identify NPD opportunities, inputting into distribution and placement targets in line with range review timings and objectives.
  • Responsibility for taking ranging opportunities from concept through to perfect store / online implementation.

  • Category understanding to flex range needs by Channel format.
  • YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • FMCG experience to include experience of Category Management
  • Excellent analytical skills and confidence using category sources (Kantar, IRI, Dunnhumby, Nectar360 etc) combined with the ability to translate data into insight
  • Excellent communication, presentation & influencing skills with a proven record of delivery
  • With touchpoints across multiple departments internally & externally, the right candidate therefore needs to enjoy being a key team player in multiple teams.

  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Requires travel across UK to customer usually 1 day a week
