As the Senior Network Architect for Full Fibre you will be playing a pivotal role in supporting the future growth and success of the business.
Responsible for the design, architecture and support of the Fibre technology, you will also identify and suggest fixes for performance issues and troubleshoot technical problems and interface into network vendors.
Reporting directly to the CTO, you'll be joining at the start of a very fast paced and exciting growth phase of the business with lots to get stuck into.
We're looking for someone who can .
Understand the optical fibre network FTTH technology in depth enabling troubleshooting of faults and performance issues.
Support the business in terms of providing technical input into key infrastructure projects.
Troubleshoot network incident issues.
Be on call to provide specialist support.
Provide network change support and key impact analysis.
Knowledge share across the business.
Manage the network Fibre Capacity & Performance across the Fibre network.
Ensure Backhaul Fibre Capacity tracks network rollout capacity needs.
Ensure we keep network design and topology up to date.
Liaise with GPON / XGS PON vendor to keep track of all firmware upgrade requirements.
Manage technical review meetings with vendor.
Liaise with Vendor for all support needs.
Design, preparation and configuration of green field network equipment
Modification of live network configurations in line with change management practices
Staging and testing of networking equipment to fulfil design requirements
The right person will
Be a Decisive Thinker and able to analyse information quickly and use it to make robust decisions.
Be able to provide excellent engineering advice to the build team in relation to build and network installation, with accompanying solutions.
Have direct experience / exposure in a telecoms-based business.
Analytical, solution oriented and able to deal with a fast moving and multicultural environment.
Practical and deep knowledge of network technologies, security and architectures within a large ISP or Carrier environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience :
5 + years' experience in a senior Engineering and / or network support role with evidence of supplier control and management
Cisco CCNP / Juniper JNCIP or equivalent recognised accreditations
Excellent communications skills and ability to talk at all levels in the business.
Demonstrable experience working under pressure in a fast-paced role
Up to £65,000
