What we can offer you

  • £38,000 - £40,000 salary depending on experience

  • What's the purpose of the role?

    This role will be responsible for the delivery of installation services, to provide emergency and reactive support and to manage a pod of engineers also providing the installation and support service.

    Reporting into the Installation and Support Service Manager, the post holder will act as the point of contact for all Installation and support work for a dedicated pod of engineers

    The job holder will be expected to be able to work independently on their own projects with minimal technical input from peers.

    Team working is essential, and the job holder will need to provide technical leadership for an operations team to ensure the project and support services are delivered successfully.

    The Job holder will act as a mentor and coach to more junior members of the team and facilitate a close working relationship across a geographically distributed team.

    You will provide technical training, share and embed best practices and processes and ensure these are adhered to

    The job holder will be expected to work closely with the Installation and Support Service Manager for technical service development, maintenance of the installation instructions and processes as well as being involved in the delivery and continual improvement of our managed support services.

    What does the job entail?

    Team Management

  • The team leader of the Junior members of the team
  • Personal development and mentoring of the Junior members of the team
  • The ability to achieve results through effective delegation.
  • Support Services

  • Provide cover in P1 incidents where required
  • Provide sickness, absence and other support cover where required
  • Installation project delivery

  • Oversee installation projects as a Senior Engineer
  • Act as a technical escalation point for the work carried out by the Installation Team
  • Be technically capable to deliver all RM Installation work
  • Facts & Figures

  • Be accountable for around 100 projects annually containing over 250+ installation days of work
  • Interface with 4+ internal RM departments for successful project planning and delivery
  • Work with Installation and Support Service Manager to identify and drive continual improvements of products and services
  • Collaborate with the Field Service Support Teams for ServiceNow CSM case escalation and assistance
  • Decision Making

    1) You will take without reference to others :

  • Deal with technical escalations from your team for their project implementations
  • Deal with technical queries from your team or customers
  • Effectively manage the relationship with the customer during Incident, Problem and Change Management with a focus on customer communication
  • II) You refer to your manager / colleague.
  • Any high risks associated with project implementations.
  • Any escalation or further assistance requirement for Incident, Problem and Change cases
