This new year, how about making the leap in specialist Stroke Rehabilitation nursing?

We are seeking highly motivated registered nurses who have experience in stroke rehabilitation or nurses who would like to make the change to develop in this specialist area.

The Oxfordshire Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Abingdon Community Hospital provides specialist rehabilitation for patients in Oxfordshire who have had an acute stroke, supporting their recovery which will enable them to return home again.

You will be an enthusiastic, passionate and caring individual with a non-judgemental attitude, excellent communication skills and a commitment to learn.

As part of our service you will work within an integrated Nursing and Allied Health Professional team, providing high quality specialist rehabilitation.

We understand your career development is important and welcome new ideas to help you achieve your objectives. Our multidisciplinary team are encouraged to actively participate in several projects running within the service and as an active research unit, we collaborate with teams from the University of Oxford.

You will be provided with an excellent induction, clinical and managerial supervision, inhouse and external training opportunities, all whilst working in a supportive friendly environment.

Our ward is based within the lovely historic town of Abingdon where there is a great local community spirit. There are plenty of local amenities and easy access transport links to the hospital.
