Management of Technicians and Contractors in execution of improvement projects.
Manage capital projects up to £300K in individual value managing contract staff / resources to meet all reliability requirements.
Management of Packaging planned / preventative maintenance contracts, responsible for improvement work.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work safely and ensure all employees and contractors under their supervision work safely.
Provide detailed engineering input to specified maintenance activities, advising on best practice through updated technology where appropriate.
Lead capital projects utilitising both internal and contractor resources to provide value for money plant improvements resulting in less downtime and a more efficient process.
Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and Area Maintenace Leader's in the investigation of plant failures through RCA, suggesting plant replacements or upgrades to remove repeat failures.
Ensure spares are correct and carry out supplier audits to ensure quality standards and value for money.
Increase productivity levels through developing and supporting a culture of problem solving and continuous improvement.
Responsible for improving reliability and engineering uptime through the implementation of best practice maintenance principles.
Mentor, train and advise on engineering practices and maintenance issues at all levels.
Participate in RCM studies of TLS plan to derive and system optimum maintenance regimes.
Administer and review SAP maintenance system for budgeting, historical trend and reliability analysis.
ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES
At least 5 years practical "hands on" experience of plant maintenance within an automated continuous environment, which incorporates PLC and HT systems.
Experience of Predictive / Preventative and RCM maintenance techniques and regimes.
Experience of Continuous Improvement with a desire for continual personal development.
Experience of planning and organising engineering tasks including internal and contractor resources.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Degree in and engineering discipline or substantial experience of maintenance and reliability improvement within an FMCG packaging operation together with a minimum of HNC / NVQ4 in an engineering discipline, ideally multi-skilled.
