Job Purpose :

The Global R&C Corp Sales and Solution team is looking to hire a client / sales facilitation professional into the team to oversee and administer Global Corp Sales Cash Grid client implementation.

The hire will work closely with a range of sales, Institutional Credit Management (ICM), ICG analytics, BCMA, CCB and management stakeholders across asset classes to drive the oversight and management of the Cash Grid client population for Corporate Sales globally.

Job Background / context :

The purpose of the Corporate Cash Grid Program is to facilitate the execution of short dated transactions carried out by Corporate and Commercial Bank clients to settle their commercial activities or financial obligations.

These transactions are subject to product specific notional and tenor limits (known as the Cash Grid). Cash Trade program is owned by Institution Credit Management (ICM) within Markets, serves 16 k Corporate Counterparties, and generates significant amount of product revenue.

The team’s role is to help develop the Cash Trade program strategy for Corporate Sales and execute it globally across 70 jurisdictions.

A key responsibility of the role will be to focus on overseeing and administering the cash grid clients as well as program and process development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities include :

Management and oversight of the Corp Sales 16K Cash Grid client population, including :

  • Strategy and process design as Cash Grid project evolves,
  • Interpretation and implementation of Cash Grid project changes,
  • Work in partnership with the BCMA, CCB teams to monitor the cash grid clients’ to Target Market thresholds and resulting client management actions,
  • Partner with Financial Institution Sales and Solutions (FISS) Group on clients who are jointly covered by Institutional Sales and Corporate Sales
  • Formulation and management of Cash Grid exception approvals, which will include partnering with BCMA, CCB, Sales, Sales Managers, ICM, Credit Risk and In-Business Risk
  • Partner with internal groups such as BCMA, CCB, Onboarding, ICG Operations & Technology, Legal and Credit Risk to work to improve data integrity across the Sales organization
  • The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in Markets and Banking, deep analytical and relationship skills, and a background in strategy consulting, business development, client management or the front office.

    The role will be based in London reporting to the Global CAO of Corporate Sales and Solutions.

    Knowledge / Experience :

    The ideal candidate will have :

  • Significant experience working in Markets
  • Knowledge of industry developments with competitors, clients, market structure, regulation
  • Background in management consulting, business development, client management or the front office
  • Skills :

    Strategic experience of working with seniors and advising on strategic courses of action (acting as an owner)

    Analytical ability to work with large amounts of data and derive conclusions whilst highlighting limitations. Proficient with working in Excel

    Project management ability to design, track and execute a project

    Presentation ability to frame and communicate findings powerfully using graphs and written communication

    Competencies :

  • Significant exposure to foreign exchange and interest rates products would be an advantage
  • Strong controls mindset; identifying and mitigating risks, communicating and escalating concerns
  • Demonstrable people, project and change management skills
  • Ability to investigate complex topics in detail and communicate outcomes simply, clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing, adjusting style to suit the audience
  • Ability to assess and critically challenge information and processes, delivering appropriate outcomes
  • Ability to collaborate across businesses, regions and control functions
  • Ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities.
  • High level of computer literacy including data processing and analytics
