    Job Description

    Smiths Medical is currently hiring a Senior Systems Verification Engineer in Minneapolis, MN.

    The Senior Systems Verification Engineer will plan project test, integration, and verification activities and lead the team to execute against plan.

    This position will also be responsible for defining and documenting product integration and verification strategies that ensure complete coverage of critical medical device system functionality and performance.

    Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead identification, development or acquisition, and validation of complex tools needed to support project test activities.
  • These tools include Electromechanical standard test methods, Manual and automated testing equipment, and Data acquisition, analysis, control, and reporting software.

  • Develop test procedures that produce repeatable and reproducible results through GRR, MSA, and other analytical techniques.
  • Analyze technical data and communicate outcomes through clear, concise reporting.
  • Accurately predict project effort, resources, and duration and keep stakeholders up-to-date with status.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to product reliability and performance based on test results.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the organization’s test, integration, and verification processes, strategies, and tools.
  • Coach others in the use of verification and test processes, test management tools, and work management tools.
  • The Individual

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • 5 8 years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3 6 years of experience.
  • Experience developing test, integration, and verification strategies for safety-critical products.
  • Expertise developing manual and automated electromechanical tests and testing systems.
