Financial Controller Greater Manchester Paying up to £70,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a highly successful and progressive business who is the leading provider of business services and workplace solutions.

This is a dynamic role within a fast-paced environment and would suit a qualified / QBE part qualified Financial Controller looking for a new challenge and to develop in a growing company full of opportunities.

  • The role will involve the following;
  • Be the key point of contact for budget holders and the senior management team, managing relationships and providing support.
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly reporting including Flash results and group Consolidations
  • Uploading the monthly results on the Group Accounting system
  • Highlighting risks and opportunities to senior management and challenging budget holders where necessary.
  • Control and oversee all Balance Sheet accounts and monthly reconciliations
  • Responsibility for stock accounting, working with commercial and operations teams, reconciling the balance and obsolescence provisions.
  • Intercompany balances and agreement
  • Understanding and having a firm grasp on the Treasury and Working Capital
  • Cycles of the group, per entity including : Daily, Weekly, cash flow forecasting and uploading to the Group Accounting System.
  • Managing the ABL facility, including the weekly uploads, drawdowns, retentions, reconciliations etc.

  • Leading the preparation of the year end audit and liaising with the company auditors.
  • Ideally you will have the following;
  • An experienced Financial Controller ideally ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified with PQE. If you are QBE, please apply as your application will be considered.
  • Strong management skills, proven experience developing a team and driving performances
  • Strong communication skills - able to business partner effectively
  • Adaptable - able to continuously improve processes and spot opportunities for
  • improvement - Microsoft Dynamics / 365 experience would be highly beneficial but not essential
  • Advanced Excel experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a very hands on capacity.
