Job description

In an exclusive role to Cordius, our client a mobile and web app with over 200,000 active monthly users is looking for a Cloud Hosting / DevOps Manager with several years of commercial experience in scaling web services and deploying web applications, and knowledge of the best practices in deploying software and server debugging.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth running of the hosting environment, identifying ways to optimise the system, improve stability and build capacity in a rapidly growing international service.
  • Set up and monitor KPIs and performance metrics to measure improvements you’ve implemented.
  • Help train the wider technical team in out-of-hours support by documenting key diagnostic procedures and best practice to remedy simple systems errors.
  • Technical skills :

  • 3 years or more experience of AWS hosting
  • Solid understanding of mySQL, SQL server and Linux.
  • Strong understanding of security design principles and their implementation in AWS
  • Experience with setup and configuration of AWS services : EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, Route53, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, SNS, SQS, Elasticsearch
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation
  • Experience building CI / CD Pipelines
  • Skills and Experience :

  • 3 years or more experience of AWS hosting
  • Solid understanding of mySQL, SQL server and Linux.
  • Eager to learn and contribute to a high-volume customer-facing service
  • Team player, good communication skills
