Fromelectricity production to defence of the nation and medical uses, the UK hasbenefitted from nuclear technology for more than 60 years.

Now RadioactiveWaste Management (RWM) is working to support and deliver safe and secureapproaches to the way we continue in managing radioactive waste effectively toprotect people and the environment.

Aspart of this work, RWM will be leading delivery of a major infrastructureproject called a Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) for the permanent disposalof radioactive wastes.

Similar projects are already underway in countries likeFinland and Sweden. RWM, as the developer, will work in partnership withwilling local communities -

providing jobs, skills and investment for more than100 years.

As Head of Engineering andSafety, you will plan, procure and manage the engineering and safety case designprocess for the GDF and associated waste transport systems, whilst safeguardingoperational safety and environmental standards.

Developing a high performing team, you will act as the intelligentclient to effectively manage mutually dependent parties.

With an outstandingtrack record of leading the engineering design and safety case process of a majorengineering programme, you will oversee the quality of the engineering andsafety case design, scoping work, budgets and schedules to ensure these are successfullydelivered, within agreed time-lines and cost.
