Powered by the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform, BIOVIA™ provides global, collaborative product lifecycle experiences to transform scientific innovation Your role will be As a member of the solution consulting group, your task will be to develop new solutions for proof-of-concept works tailored to existing customer needs.

Such solutions will include, but not limited to, the use of molecular modelling tools as implemented in Biovia’ Materials Studio® package as well as building scripts and protocols from Biovia’ Pipeline Pilot®.

Your mission will be to build an end-to-end solution that can be used by existing Biovia customers.The scientific focus of the proof-of-concept will be on the study of the solvent influence on crystal growth morphology.

It is well known that the morphology of a crystal is not solely due to its internal chemical structure but also depends upon external factors such as solvents, super saturation or impurities.

Various solvents are routinely tested during the drug development cycle. Such solvents (pure of a mixture of) are used to grow crystals and their effect on crystal habit can be consequent especially if the solvent molecules interact differently with different surfaces of the crystal.

The choice of solvent(s) for a given API is therefore crucial in drug development. Your key success factors

  • Masters or PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Material science and Pharmacology
  • Experience with Molecular modelling
  • Experience with scripting. Perl scripting is preferable
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Fast learner, ability to work independently
