More about you role

Based out of our Derby office we are looking for an Income Officer to join us. Managing the income collection through the tenant's duration with us.

The majority of your customer contact will be phone based and this will include collecting debt at all levels, arranging repayment plans, visiting tenants, carrying out assessments to decide which legal action will be required and attending court hearings and evictions.

This is a fixed term role until October 2020 covering an internal secondment.

The hours for this role are 37 hour per week, working on a rota system of 8 : 00am-4pm or 10am-6pm Monday to Thursday, and alternating Friday's of 8.

00 am-3.30pm and 9am-4.30pm. Occasional evening and Saturday morning is included, therefore a level of flexibility with working hours is required.

Whilst this role is based at head office, travel may be required, therefore a driving licence and use of a vehicle is required.

The successful applicant will receive allocated parking onsite at head office.

More about you

You'll have experience working within a collections role. You will be able to negotiate repayment plans with customers, keeping accurate case management records, and signposting to external services as necessary.

To be successful in this role you will be self-motivated, a key team player with the ability to work on your own initiative.

You will be dealing with what can be emotively charged situations and the ability to diffuse, empathise and find positive resolutions is essential.

Excellent communication skills and a common sense approach are critical.
