Forming part of the wider Commercial Property team, our Residential Development team offers a full service to private house builders and housing associations in the areas of commercial property and commercial and residential development law.
The team acts for a broad range of national and regional house builders, RP’s, local authorities and funders on a wide range of issues affecting the house building and social housing sectors.
Purpose of job
A vacancy has arisen in the team to provide development and related services to Housing associations, housebuilders and private developers.
Playing an important part in this team you will be responsible for :
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor (or Legal Executive) of 3-5 years PQE with experience in all aspects of Housing Association & Housing Development and related regulations.
Although applications will be considered from candidates with wider commercial property experience who have an interest in residential development work and full support and training will be given.
You will have the ability to hit the ground running with a busy caseload, with case management systems. The ability to work as part of a dedicated team is essential
Initially the role will be to assist the team with maternity cover, but the role is permanent to meet projected growth in levels of work within the team.
All candidates will need excellent time management, organisational, communication and IT skills. The ability to work under pressure to deadlines is also essential.
The nature and seniority of the role is such that the successful applicant will need to be flexible and may have to work extra hours in order to manage the requirements of individual clients.
