Best Companies have an exciting opportunityfor a Lead Analyst Developer to join our product team working on numerous internal applications using C#, .

Net and SQL Server . You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £37,000 - £45,000 per annum plus benefits.

Our offices are located between Chester and Wrexham and is easily commutable (by car) from the Wirral, North Wales and Cheshire.

The Role

As the Lead Developer you will take a hands-on approach in designing, developing and delivering client requirements while also acting as a technical lead and mentor to the other members of the team.

As a project lead there will be responsibility for keeping product management up to date with progress, prioritising the workload for the team and managing changes to requirements.

You will also be responsible for the quality and timely delivery of software by the development team.

You will be the most significant development resource on the product team, taking on development of business-critical areas of the application.

You will maintain an understanding of the technical details of the whole product and be comfortable explaining this to other members of the team.

You must have a positive attitude, be passionate about development and take pride in what the team produces. You will need to be calm under pressure and comfortable working to tight deadlines.

Excellent communications skills (technical and non-technical) are essential.

Skills / Traits

  • At least 4 years’ experience developing applications using the.NET Framework
  • Excellent technical coding skills with attention to detail, an ordered approach to problem solving and a desire to produce work of outstanding qualityand reliability
  • Experience of working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills to both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • An organised and methodical approach and calm under pressure
  • An appreciation of how distinct products fit together to meet business needs and an understanding of how projects reflect current business priorities
  • An aptitude for learning
  • Responsibilities

  • Accountable to the product development manager for producing high-quality solutions
  • Lead a team of developers through projects from design to delivery, ensuring efficient and accurate results
  • Take responsibility for project delivery, liaising with product management for requirements and updates on progress
  • Undertake development on business-critical areas of software
  • Manage development priorities within a sprint to ensure timely delivery
  • Act as a technical lead and mentor to other developers
  • Maintain a good understanding of the whole product and be comfortable explaining this to other members of the team
  • Maintain and share a view of the current sprint and what the objective is and ensure that the team are aware of this.
