What you'll be doing....
As part of our continued growth, we’re hiring a Pre-Sales Consultant / Sales Engineer to join our rapidly expanding and talented team.
Our Pre-Sales Consultants / Sales Engineers are the key technical point of contact for all enterprise accounts at Tableau, helping them solve complex data and analytical challenges.
You’ll provide presales support, to contribute towards the successful conversion of prospects to customers and then continuous engagement to nurture repeat purchases.
The ideal candidate will have considerable pre-sales experience either working for a software vendor who specialises in financial services, or will have been vertically aligned to the financial services industry.
Experience working with trading / market data, insurance, asset management, fraud analytics, risk management, banking customer insight and compliance would be highly desirable, as would familiarity with financial services infrastructure, processes and systems.
Some of your key responsibilities....
Partner with our sales teams and customer to provide strategic presales support, including needs analysis, data review and product demonstrations.
Work with prospects data to deliver world-class product demonstrations.
Drive all aspects of successful evaluations from discovery and design to value justification.
Become an expert in the features, benefits and application of Tableau’s products.
Provide proactive support to customers and prospects to ensure their successful adoption of the technology
Be the customer advocate and liaison for product management and development

Who you are ..
Experienced. Demonstrable experience gained in a pre-sales capacity or the desire, hunger and attributes to be successful in pre-sales.
Data Savvy. Deep experience of dealing with data and databases.
Domain. Experience of working in financial services would be highly desirable.
Analytically Astute. Able to think critically about data and how it is used to solve problems using analytics, visualisations or statistics.
Technical Breadth. Experience with architecture, security, networks, APIs and scripting highly preferred.
Technical Curiosity. You don’t shy away from opportunities to get into technology and you can learn it quickly.
Conviction and Commitment . You have an unshakable belief that Tableau’s products will improve the world one person at a time.
