As the Deputy Site Manager you will support the Site Manager in driving the warehouse to success and achieve targets to boost performance.
Key responsibilities include :
Full site responsibility in the absence of the Site Manager
Take responsibility of people, operations, quality control, targets and liaison responsibilities.
Managing 40+ direct reports and up to 100+ staff operationally
Commercial insight and budget management, circa 1 million pounds; ensuring all budget cost lines are delivered.
Support the recruitment, induction and PDR process to develop a culture which is reflective of the Mission, Vision and Values of Newlife.
Deliver KPI’s, taking a resilient approach, knowing when to adapt your approach with the team to maintain high levels of motivation and engagement.
Report any issues within the warehouse to facilities if they are affecting your work space or put staff at risk.
Take responsibility of all Health and Safety policies and procedures and ensure all equipment is used in a safe and appropriate manner.
Responsibility for safeguarding stock, equipment, consumables and assisting with security checks where required.
Effectively manage warehouse departments to ensure right staffing levels to ensure the delivery of the right people, at the right place at the right time with the correct equipment.
Responsible for the security of the building and opening and closing when on duty.
Flexibility to manage other warehouse sites when required.
Reviewing, analysing and reacting to sales data awareness.
What we are looking for :
You will need to have a minimum of 2 years previous management experience. You will be compassionate, empathetic and be driven by the needs of the team and the operation.
You will need to have a creative energy and be able to motivate the team and push production. You will have great people skills and be able to build a good rapport, not only within your team but also across all departments and levels of the organisation.
You will be required to live and breath KPI’s and must not be afraid to get stuck in and get your hands dirty to get tasks done.
We are looking for someone with good verbal and written communication skills, who has experience in writing and delivering inductions, training plans, probations and annual reviews.
You should have experience in direct report management of 40+ staff and have experience of operationally supporting 100+ staff.
