We are currently recruiting for a dynamic Area Manager in North and Central London to join our passionate and driven Transport team!
Job Overview
The successful candidate will have the primary responsibility to manage the day to day operation of our Clients account (Railway) to ensure that cleaning standards are met and maintained at all times across all sites within contract specification;
whilst leading and motivating direct reports. To operate consistently within Company policy and ensure that contractual obligations are fulfilled as well as delivering to financial targets.
Duties will include
Manage Operations - Maintain quality of services to customers
Visit clients at least once per period to discuss services provided. Get customers to comment on standards
Carry out cleaning and safety inspections on-site, independently and alongside the client to ensure KPIs captured and can be reported on.
Deal with non-conformities as a matter of urgency
Identify and agree "one-offs" with clients.
Deal with customer complaints or concerns promptly, responding formally.
Observe all client and company statutory fire and safety regulations and promote good safety habits.
When trained, carry out risk assessments.
Ensure contract procedures are followed.
Inform the client of other Atalian Servest disciplines.
Liaise with subcontractors when applicable.
Manage Finance - Control resources to achieve a quality of service whilst keeping within the budget
Check and request materials, uniforms and / or equipment within budget
Ensure that plant, equipment and PPE is checked and replaced or repaired as necessary. Undertake regular "Health & Safety Audits"
Complete Timegate daily / weekly ensuring wage budgets are not exceeded
Where applicable, visually check that company vehicles are being used and maintained in the correct and proper manner
Continually look for opportunities to introduce add on services, e.g. consumables, window cleaning, etc
Manage People - Recruit, lead and develop the team
Recruit staff using company procedures. Maintain staff numbers at the agreed level
Induct new and transferred staff in line with induction form.
Regularly review the training and development needs of individuals. Carry out Continuous Conversations where appropriate
Provide on-site training for staff
Prepare work schedules
Ensure Atalian Servest staff obey all site rules and maintain a smart appearance including the wearing of uniforms and PPE
Maintain good team spirit
When necessary, discipline staff in accordance with the companys disciplinary procedure
Manage Information - Access, organise, store and use the information to control contracts
Maintain : Contract files, Personnel files, Training records, Site communication book, Site packs, Annual Leave records
Attend regular meetings with the client when requested to review the performance on contracts
Carry out regular Team Briefings with own staff
