Job Description

The role of Strategic Writer, Pre-Sales will be to support the development of writing compelling proposals, which will include extracting opportunity level operational considerations from key operational SMEs and converting them into .

highly tailored, differentiating proposal language for strategically identified opportunities.

Key Accountabilities

To work alongside the assigned proposal manager to produce compelling and differentiating proposal language for inclusion into a customer proposals

Proposal Development

  • Work closely with Solutions Consultants, Functional SMEs and CRD / CSD to perform appropriate client / indication / therapeutic area research to support proposal development
  • Add value to strategy meetings to :
  • o Identify issues and client requirements

    o Recommend proposal and study conduct strategy, and internal resourcing, based on experience

    o Support senior management and multi-disciplinary discussions to assure full and high quality input

    o Establish agreement on timelines and deliverables from the strategy meeting, and follow-up to ensure adherence

  • Write and create client specific proposal text to :
  • o Accurately reflect strategy discussions with compelling and differentiating content

    o Meet PAREXEL and client needs / expectations

    o Assure accuracy and appropriateness of text and attachments

    Other Tasks

  • Ensure information relating to proposals and are processed into and maintained in relevant databases and libraries
  • Support the development of case studies or other related materials
  • Participate in Lessons Learned meetings, as needed
  • May provide training / mentoring
  • Ability to
  • o Craft compelling and differentiating proposal strategy language

  • Confident to deal with all internal and external staff levels at all levels
  • Highly organized with outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant software (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Databases)
  • Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Life Science, Business or equivalent. MBA preferred
  • Language Skills

  • Fluent in English, oral and written
  • Minimum Work Experience

  • Extensive proposal management experience with previous exposure in proposal development in a CRO environment or similar environment
