Burges Salmon has 2 key office locations.

  • Bristol - 2 minutes' walk from Temple Meads train station. In the heart of Bristol with easy access to some of the best attractions the city has to offer, including the theatre, shopping, restaurants, museums and art galleries.
  • Edinburgh - Atria One. Next door to the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and on the doorstep of everything which vibrant and cosmopolitan Edinburgh has to offer throughout the year.

  • Key clients includes : one of the world's largest suppliers of cloud IT services, technology vendors across a range of sectors, including Energy, Transport and Cybersecurity, and emerging companies and disruptive organisations in the technology sector (including in the Fintech sector), as well as advising technology vendors, we also advise businesses operating in the utilities, transport, financial services, insurance, healthcare and retail sectors, as well as public sector clients, on issues relating to their procurement and licensing of technology, ongoing data protection compliance and on their digital innovation.

    The team

    Our multi-disciplinary team of technology lawyers are adept at providing pragmatic advice, client service and legal solutions that meet the technology sector challenges of development and deployment.

    Requirements

    We look for individuals who have developed themselves and their capabilities, coupled with strong commercial and legal potential and relevant experience.

    You will have strong, recent and relevant work experience focused on technology transactions and regulatory data protection matters, with experience of working on large, complex technology licensing, outsourcing projects and data protection / cyber issues for corporate and public sector clients.

    You will be a strong team player, able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and be self-motivated.
