Richmond and Hillcroft Adult and Community College provides an impressive environment to support learning. The Art School provides contemporary, purpose-built art and design facilities for people of all abilities. We want our students to learn from expert tutors and develop their creativity for personal enjoyment or to forward their creative careers.
We are looking for an experienced Graphic Design tutor to teach a range of courses from beginner to more advanced level.
You should have a good working knowledge of Adobe software packages as you will teach specific courses in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, as well as more general Graphic Design courses.
Ideally you will also have practical skills as a professional artist / graphic designer.
As a Sessional Tutor, who has a certified teaching qualification, you will join our bank of teaching staff and will be offered courses as and when they match your area of expertise.
At the moment we need cover for our Saturday intensive courses, which are generally three week courses (4.5 hours per week) covering Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator separately, starting from 27 April.
For other courses, the hours are variable and cover daytimes, evenings and weekends. Part-time Tutors work closely with Programme Leaders in the designing, planning and delivering courses which stretch and challenge our learners as well as preparing a variety of learning materials, providing guidance to learners on progression options, attending termly meetings and completing course administration.
You will also have the opportunity to pitch your own ideas for new courses and help shape the graphic design provision.
