Due to increased workload, our client, a non-for-profit organisation based in Barnsley are recruiting for an experience Payroll Officer to join their department on an ongoing temporary basis.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of Payroll for over 700 salaried employees.
Main Duties :
Accurate and timely processing of four weekly payroll
Setting up new starters and processing leavers
Calculating statutory payments and deductions
Summarising hours from the time and attendance system
Efficiently responding to queries relating to pay
Ad hoc tasks as required
Experience Required :
Previous and recent experience processing payroll
Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation and GDPR regulations
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
Previous use of Sage Payroll
Good knowledge of MS Excel (Basic formula, Vlookup’s)
Immediately available / Short notice period
