As a manager in the Risk and Compliance team, you will help take our risk controls, oversight testing and QC procedures to the next level.

The Risk and Compliance team is the second line of defence, responsible for ensuring that all of the risks we face as a business are properly identified and mitigated, through the implementation and oversight of internal controls.

As the Head of Oversight and QC, you will lead a team of QCs and Oversight analysts across two countries, who are responsible for conducting quality control checks on teams such as KYC, Financial Crime, Member Support.

You will work with the VP Risk and Compliance (MLRO) to develop a global QC framework to support Tide’s international growth, and scale the QC team in-line with the rest of the scaling business.

You Will :

  • Strategically plan the scaling of the QC and Oversight function, including forming the global model, how the team grows as the business scales, developing reporting requirements internally and to external partners, working with 1LOD risk owners
  • Line manage a team of awesome QCs and oversight analysts. This includes working with them on their individual checks and output, providing feedback, and support with their development
  • Constantly improve the way we do QC and oversight, making recommendations for improved methodologies, reporting and collaboration
  • Collaborate with the 1LOD to ensure QC and oversight findings are implemented, and champion quality and compliance
  • Ensure our day to day activities performed at Tide are compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Collect relevant MI data and provide reporting for the VP Risk and Compliance, Risk and Compliance Committee, external auditors and banking partners
  • Work with the QCs, Oversight analyst, and the Risk and Compliance Product Owner to automate testing, and implement new QC systems to streamline QC and reporting
  • The non-negotiables :

  • A degree in a relevant discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in QC, QA, Oversight or Audit
  • Management experience and a passion for developing people
  • Understanding of testing frameworks within 2LOD
  • Experience in implementing and assessing risk control frameworks
  • Data driven
  • An excellent eye for detail, with high standards of testing and reporting
  • Experience building working relationships both internally and externally
  • The desirables :
