Business Unit Overview :
BlackRock EMEA GAAPS (Global Accounting and Product Services) has responsibility for audits, financial documents and NAV reporting for Real Estate funds with over £6BN AUM and growing.
As a team member, you will support data from the property manager into the accounting system (Yardi) handle bank accounts, pay invoices and produce financial reports in house or via external administrators.
The team assists in regulatory / legal / tax issues and supports the property investment teams through technical accounting knowledge.

We are recruiting for a financial professional within GAAPS Real Estate Fund Accounting. The role includes :
Key Responsibilities :
You will be part of the team responsible for the UK Fund range within Real Estate. Specific responsibilities include :
Knowledge / Experience :
Knowledge of UK Real Estate fund accounting required (e.g. an understanding of UK investments held in offshore vehicles such as JPUT's, Baker Trusts etc)
Experience in the real estate or financial industry combined with analytical / problem solving skills (Business Insight)
Dealing with unit pricing, NAV production, and calculation of distributable income for investors in relation to directly held real estate assets
Familiarity with Real Estate valuation concepts that enable registered valuers to value according to RICS red book rules
Able to work independently and handle several tasks, and to plan workload in order to meet reporting deadlines
Computer literacy (e.g. MS Office, Excel, Yardi, other real estate accounting packages).
Skills / Qualifications :
A minimum of 3 years accounting experience, preferably in real estate investment or in financial services
Knowledge of statutory accounting on IFRS / FRS102, UK Companies Act, LLPs.
Experience in Financial Statement preparation and dealing with Auditors
Knowledge of statutory regulations such as Non Residents Taxation, UK Corporation Tax, UK VAT, CIS
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Good written and spoken English language skills
Accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA or CIMA equivalent) preferred
