In this role you will have the opportunity to meet and greet visitors to the estate, showing them where best to park, where to pay for parking and show members where to scan their membership cards upon arrival.
Selling memberships by sharing stories about the wonderful conservation work we do here. You will also have the chance to share your passion for the work that the National Trust does to protect our special places.
We want everyone to enjoy their visit to Dunstable Downs and to keep coming back year after year. To achieve this, you will work as part of a small but passionate team who love the Downs and want to share this wonderful place with as many visitors as possible.
The working hours in this role are includes regular / flexible weekend, bank holiday and school holiday working, which are our peak times.
At the moment we have a role for 13 hours and 32.5 hours a week but this may be flexible dependant on the successful candidates.
This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business.

Our team of staff and volunteers are passionate the Downs and its landscape. We are a small but close knit team and teamwork is high on the agenda, particularly during high peak season.
Some days can be challenging but very rewarding. No day is ever the same.What you'll be doing : To be our newest team member, you will demonstrate that you can : Provide a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors delivering excellent customer service throughout their visitor journey.
This service will be in keeping with our Spirit of Place Ensure the car parks are well maintained and be a visible presence for people arriving in vehicles.
Assist the Visitor Experience team with their duties by being a point of contact for visitors upon arrival to give directions and assist with general enquiries.
Show their passion for the work of the National Trust by inspiring visitors to become membersProvide support to all members of the team when required.
In this role, you will be provided with full training and support for all aspects of the role. You will be accountable for your personal development through appraisals, and will need to work within all health and safety procedures.
