We also manufacture specialised ingredients for use in the infant formula, human nutrition and animal feed markets.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Part Qualified, commercially minded, driven individual who is looking for a role to begin their career in Finance and that offers the opportunity to develop.
The successful candidate will partner with the wider business and undertake projects alongside the day to day tasks. They will also be communicating with our field based professionals and linking in with the business to obtain key information, presenting findings and making recommendations.
This role will suit someone who enjoys regular interaction with a variety of stakeholders and has the ability to challenge existing methods where applicable to drive value across the business.
What you’ll do at Saputo Dairy UK
Report on our cost of milk, which is one of the business’ biggest input costs. This includes timely and accurate monthly farmer payment calculations to all of our 340 farms, milk cost forecasting and reporting and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Support the Farm Business Centre with farm payment queries whilst they are out on the field.
Assist the Procurement Finance Manager in other areas of Procurement including commodity reporting, forecasting of Traded Ingredients and cost reduction tracking.
Business partnering the wider procurement team of over 20 (and other areas of the business) and responding to ad hoc queries.
Who’s right for the role?
Part qualified / finalist CIMA / ACCA with experience / knowledge of journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations and month end accruals.
Excellent organisational skills, with strong attention to detail, and the ability to adhere to company deadlines.
Ability to use own initiative and challenge processes, make recommendations and follow the change process to a satisfactory end with appropriate control implementation.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate financial information to operational colleagues.
Strong IT system skills, in particular Excel spreadsheets (Intermediate level).
