An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Finance Manager Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join our IT and Networks division, based in our central London office.

Overview of Capita IT and Networks

The division provides network and infrastructure services to a mix of internal and external clients. Capita Networking Solutions (CNS) is one of the two key pillars in the division.

CNS organisation is fully aligned to the Capita strategy, focused on end-to-end managed networking solutions including voice / unified comms, local and wide-

area-network setup, maintenance, 24 hour fault resolution and managed security services (threat management).

The successful candidate will be a key member of the team, reporting to the Finance Transformation lead.

The role’s purpose is to :

  • Ensure consistency in the strategic vision and execution of divisional objectives
  • Develop a high performing team and instil a culture of continuous improvement
  • Manage group reporting requirements
  • Support CNS financial planning
  • Own and coordinate the long-term strategic plan
  • Coordinate business planning
  • Support target setting
  • Consolidate, review, challenge and ensure the consistency and accuracy of business unit forecasts
  • Manage CNS cash and working capital forecasting
  • Develop and drive an outstanding set of periodic reporting / KPI across the organisation with a focus on profitability
  • Own, manage and develop the internal trading forecast model (used to ensure interlock of recharges across CNS / Capita)
  • Work with Finance Control to oversee financial governance for CNS in line with our Smarter Faster Finance (SFF) operating model and support the SFF programme
  • Scenario modelling and planning to support business strategies and targets
  • Develop and support a robust cost analysis (unit costing) model
  • Design and manage analysis of revenue and margin by product
  • Potentially lead other finance colleagues directly or functionally
  • Stakeholders you’ll work with

    External : Customers, suppliers and external auditors.

    Internal : CNS colleagues, divisional management and Group Finance.

    Essential skills and experience

    A qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) accountant with excellent technical and system skills who also has :

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • An ability to translate financial risks to colleagues who don’t work in finance
  • A methodical approach to work in a demanding environment
  • Enthusiasm and an aptitude for working collaboratively to create better outcomes.
  • Initiative to work with others to identify new solutions and influence the decision making process through clear financial presentations
  • An organised approach with the ability to work to, and meet, deadlines
  • Desirable

  • Previous experience in the telecommunications / IT services sector
  • Previous transformation and / or integration experience
  • Experience of working in a matrix environment
