Position summary :

SCC is looking for a Campaign Manager / Bid Director to join the Strategic New Business team to deliver against complex services campaigns and bids across the South of the UK into Commercial sector customers.

This individual will lead Strategic bids and will report directly to the Head of Strategic New Business.

Ideally the individual will be based from our Bristol office but the successful candidate could work from our Bracknell or London offices.

The candidate will be required to spend time working across our Bracknell, Birmingham and London offices.

A critical requirement for this role is that the successful candidate will have a strong background in the IT services sector, having worked primarily on campaigns and bids in the commercial sector.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage teams to develop winning bid submissions
  • Gather, review and analyse intelligence and research
  • Work with the campaign team to identify key win themes
  • Organise and facilitate bid strategy and start up meetings
  • Evaluate responses and amend bid in light of answers and customer objectives
  • Overview the bid production
  • Ensure deadlines are met
  • Present campaigns and opportunity analysis for management for review
  • Provide leadership of virtual teams engaged on opportunities
  • Key Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Experience :

  • Experience of major strategic bid preparation and management
  • Competent in the planning, management and prioritisation of multiple sales campaigns
  • The ability to work collaboratively with technical and services teams in defining propositions for specific clients’
  • Proven ability to create effective and winning proposals

  • Communicate and influence at a senior level
  • Ability to lead a team to deliver tasks within demanding timescales
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Extremely dependable and self-sufficient

  • Excellent Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in role within a team of people supportive, confident, challenging when necessary

  • Strong consultancy skills; an understanding of working and delivering within time constraints

  • Degree educated
  • Experience in managing multiple sales campaigns for the customer adoption of Public and Private Cloud, Data Centre Services, Service Desk and Transformation Solutions.
