The School of Life Sciences wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Genetics. Applications are particularly sought from outstanding individuals with research interests that complement those that exist in forensic science, cardiac disease, cancer or microvesicles.
The successful applicant will also be expected to contribute to teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.The recently created School of Life Sciences is one of three schools in the Faculty of Health Sciences, along with the School of Health and Social Work and the Hull York Medical School.
Life Sciences comprises three subject areas : Biomedical Sciences, Psychology and Sports Health and Exercise Science. Biomedical Sciences has benefited from extensive investment over the past 7 years and has a wide range of state of the art laboratories, including dedicated microscopy, NGS, Mass Spectrometry and flow cytometry facilities.
Our staff are involved in a range of interdisciplinary activities across the university and at national / international level.
