Location : Onziebust, Egilsay

Do you have experience of farm work and livestock management? We are seeking a keen individual to join our small by growing team on the Onziebust reserve on the island of Egilsay in Orkney.

The role will involve a variety of general farming tasks, including working with the small herds of cattle and sheep used for conservation grazing on the reserve, fencing and general farm work and maintenance of equipment.

Onziebust is a lowland farmland reserve which supports an incredible array of wildlife. Breeding

waders, corncrake and great yellow bumblebee are the priority species. Cattle are managed in

line with habitat requirements for key species and our existing agri-environment contract.

Accommodation will be provided on the island. The successful applicant will need to be able to work on their own and as part of a small team and will have the relevant livestock handling skills and experience.
