Our Role
We are recruiting for a Team Leader to be based at our Sandtoft site in Doncaster. Due to the location of the site you will require your own.
You will lead and motivate a small team through a practical and hands on approach. Set priorities to maximise production efficiency and promote working practices that develops a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and open communication.
What You'll Do
Ensure you have a very good working knowledge of all plant equipment and machinery.
Identify and suggest improvements to the manufacturing and quality process to ensure agreed cost efficient production schedules.
Ensure that all plant and machinery is kept in a good working and clean condition.
Assist with the installation of new plant equipment.
Report problems regarding production or secondary processing to your Line Manager immediately.
Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiencies.
Carry out factory inspections, giving advice and support to production operatives and other personnel as relevant.
Maintain a good standard of housekeeping throughout the plant.
Oversee the various quality checks as specified on the production check list. Monitoring quality from raw material to finished goods throughout the shift is imperative.
Ensure all new starters are efficiently inducted and trained.
What You'll Bring
Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a safety-first culture is essential
At least a year’s leadership experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor role or similar
Experience of working in a high production environment, primarily in the automotive, food or FMCG related industries
Good exposure to health & safety standards, continuous improvement methods and environmental best practice
IT skills working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook
Strong organisational & planning abilities
Hours of Work : 6.00am to 6.00pm, 4 on, 4 off shift pattern
