About us

The way we see it, we’re all about two things - seriously tasty, wholesome ingredients, and imagination. Why? Because together, they’ve helped us create over 1000 (and counting) ingenious snacks for hungry grazers across the UK and the US.

We’re a nimble, tech-led multi-channel retailer on a mission to disrupt the healthy snacking market. We’re on a never-ending hunt for healthier, juicier, crunchier, tastier, fresher, bigger, better! Which basically means, as one of the fastest growing companies in the UK, we’re always refreshing, rethinking and reinventing.

We’re a bunch of like-minded people but we’re not all the same. We have different experiences, backgrounds and ways of working but we combine well to make it come together.

The role, Data Analyst (Retail)...

We have an exceptionally strong culture of data-driven decision making across the entire company, here at graze. The graze Data team builds and supports the systems that enable this culture.

The role of a graze Data Analyst is to generate and deliver insight from the broad range of data sources that are integrated into our AWS Redshift data warehouse.

We aim to automate as much as we possibly can; 80% of everyday decisions are made off the back of self-serve analytics tools that we’ve built, leaving us to get stuck into the most challenging and impactful business problems!

For this role, we are looking for a Data Analyst whose focus will be on commercial and category data analytics, for our Retail business.

You will be developing, automating and maintaining key business reports, data visualisations and other data analysis tools.

We’re constantly getting our hands on new Retail data sources - we’re looking to hire another curious and commercially-minded analyst to join the team, to help us untap this valuable resource!

What you’ll be responsible for...

You’ll be the Data team expert on the Retail business and the primary contact for everyone in the Retail team for all things data!

You will be responsible for managing our in-house Retail Category data analytics system. This will involve setting up new automated processes to feed the data warehouse, exploring and analysing big data sets (using SQL and Tableau) and sharing these insights with the wider team by creating reporting tools and Tableau dashboards.

Some examples of the type of questions and challenges you’ll be helping us tackle :

  • How are our sales KPIs tracking against our short and long-term targets?
  • How impactful was our latest promotion in driving both trial of the brand and healthy repeat purchase behaviour?
  • How can we increase our overall market share by reviewing and optimising our product range?
  • What makes a best-seller, and how can we use this insight to inform our product innovation?
  • How can we free up time and resource by automating manual processes, enabling the Retail team to do more of what they do best?
  • What we are looking for in you...

  • An exceptionally logical approach, commercial curiosity and drive for accuracy and detail
  • A highly analytical mind with notable problem-solving skills, likely with a degree in a quantitative or science-based subject
  • A natural collaborator and a clear communicator, working well with both technical and non-technical individuals across different teams
  • Knowledge of SQL and a strong desire to continue to develop their skill set in the field of Big Data analytics
  • Nice to haves

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) with 1-2 years experience of working in a Data Analyst / Business Intelligence role
  • Some prior working knowledge of Tableau (or equivalent business intelligence tool)
  • Experience of a scripting / statistical language (e.g. R, Python) and a desire to learn more
  • What’s in it for you?

Imagine being part of one of the fastest growing food businesses! We’re always moving into new commercial areas of retail, online and even new geographies.

You’ll pick up new skills and experiences, broadening your knowledge and capabilities to push you to the next level.

We encourage active learning with learning lunches, networking events or more formal qualifications

    Competitive salary

At the risk of blowing our own trumpet, there’s some seriously smart, informed, helpful, funny and dedicated people at graze HQ!

You’d be part of a culture that revolves around each of us doing a great job by being helpful, open, inclusive, pioneering, commercially aware, persistent and honest.

And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Tons of activities to join including yoga, HIIT classes, touch rugby, team breakfasts and even fortnightly massages.

Friday drinks in the office and at local pubs, and great team socials.
