This is a full time, 16 month FTC position based in our Support Bristol in North Britsol.
The role :
The UK IT Project Manager is accountable for delivery of individual or contributes to delivery of larger IT projects and initiatives which will align to our technology towers.
The job holder will drive assigned projects, working with specialist teams to undertake the day-to-day delivery of a given work stream.
Key responsibilities include :
E2E delivery of IT projects according to agreed plan (cost & time), scope, IT standards and quality.
Identify, understand, plan and manage technology dependencies and critical path within projects.
Work to assure technology readiness.
Establish and manage effective, trusted relationships with key Dental stakeholders and IT project stakeholders including Bupa UK IT colleagues.
Work with the IT team(s) in translating business requirements into IT plans & deliveries.
Ensure robust & accurate IT estimate submissions are produced.
Align with the appropriate IT project governance and reporting frameworks within UK and Dental.
Ensure measurable IT submissions and artefacts exist for each project, with clearly identified and traceable commercial outcomes at all times.
Effectively engage and manage the dependencies with Dental IT.
Effectively work with external vendors.
Ensure the compliance of IT projects to applicable regulatory bodies.
Manage full project lifecycle delivery initiation and planning, executing and controlling, quality and closure.
Support continuous improvement ethos within the ITCS community.
What we’re looking for :
Experience of using Project Scheduling tools such as MS Project, KeyedIn, JIRA.
Knowledge and expertise in IT project management using a variety of methodologies.
Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy and at times fortitude and resilience.
Results oriented and focussed on adding value to Bupa.
Experience of IT project delivery specifically in software development within a regulated sector.
Able to thrive in pressurised environments, with a clear approach to decision making.
Able to demonstrate good stakeholder management skills across a wide range of different stakeholders.
Must have evidential problem-solving skills and strive for effective solutions which meet business requirements and demonstrate value for money.
Demonstratable experience of risk, resource and cost management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Able to show experience in negotiating and influencing skills.
Must be well organised, work to deadlines and be analytical and articulate.
Relevant qualifications from providers such as APMG, AEXELOS, PMI or APM.
Must demonstrate a proactive approach, can do’ attitude and ability to question information presented.
Demonstrable good team player skills being approachable and decisive to ensure rapport and trust within the project delivery team.
