  • Science teacher requirement for September 2020 teach up to GCSE level in Physics and KS3 in Biology and Chemistry
  • Given the COVID-19 outbreak, this school is now looking ahead to September when they are already aware of a requirement within their supportive Science department.

    This requirement is all the more imperative as a result of the extended closure of schools as a result of COVID-19. As the school are ideally looking for a Physicist that can teach to GCSE level, please highlight any specific experience of this but if the successful scientist has a different specialism, there could be a possibility to have a focus in the timetable directed towards this given that this hasn’t been fully created or implemented yet.

    The Assistant Headteacher said of the science teaching position :

    Our Science department and school is enthusiastic and forward thinking and as a result we are looking for a confident, able Science teacher who is proactive and willing to join our team in September.

    We are happy to accept applications from Newly Qualified Teachers who are looking for a successful teaching career; able to support with the successful scientist’s NQT Induction year.

    Applications from more experienced teachers are also encouraged given our successful, diverse make up with no specific preference over the experience level of the successful scientist.

    Our school is situated in a multi-cultural diverse area of Manchester so we require a strong classroom practitioner who is able to create and deliver innovative and engaging lessons.

  • Pay ranging will be in line with main pay scale (MPS1 MPS6) : GBP24,373 - GBP35,971 per annum

    The school itself is in a relatively new building with excellent facilities and state of art laboratories as part of the science wing.
