The EMEA Talent Acquisition function comprises of 80 talent acquisition professionals across 5 core locations and is responsible for all intern, graduate, apprenticeship and experienced hires throughout the region (circa 2000 hires per year).

As part of the broader Talent organisation, the TA function is responsible for delivering an effective and efficient hiring process to candidates and clients, as well as ensuring the drive and delivery of the TA strategic objectives, either through the delivery of one off projects or through the embedding of culture-

change and best practise initiatives.

The function is looking for a Head of Programme Management, reporting into the Head of Talent Acquisition for EMEA, to manage and oversee all the talent acquisition strategic initiatives and pipeline programmes that are then executed on by the client facing recruitment teams.

The head of programme management will need to work with their existing team, other TA leadership and the Head of EMEA Talent Acquisition to create and design, build and deliver, manage and develop new and existing strategic programmes, initiatives and pipeline programmes across Lateral and Junior Talent.

In this role you’ll work closely with a wide range of professionals primarily across the Talent team, comprised of Talent Acquisition, Talent Operations, Talent Marketing, Learning and Leadership Development, as well as HR to help meet the critical needs of the business.

This role requires an individual with good project management skills, the ability to influence stakeholders and present clear proposals and recommendations, and the ability to execute a number of projects concurrently.

Responsibilities : Overall :

Overall :

  • Supporting the Head of Talent Acquisition in the design and delivery of a range of strategic programmes
  • Direct responsibility for the delivery on internal mobility, returning talent and assessment and selection
  • Oversight responsibility for full suite of TA programmes including; junior talent pipeline programmes, diversity pipelines, apprenticeship and school outreach and entry level training
  • End to end project management driving coordination, cohesion and consistency across all the talent acquisition recruitment teams -
  • updating project goals and plans to meet evolving needs; communicating / escalating project issues and solutions; and influencing and negotiating both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage the necessary resources.

    Talent Programmes and Initiatives :

  • Lead the regional strategic direction of a holistic internal mobility proposition
  • Programme management responsibility for the delivery of EMEA Returning Talent hiring
  • Responsible for assessment and selection processes, best practises and innovations across all TA teams
  • Support the Spring Insight, Internship and TA Strategic Initiatives Project Manager with oversight responsibility for the design, management, execution and success of Spring and Summer insight programs
  • Oversight responsibility for entry level training including communications and business engagement oversight
  • Oversight responsibility for the apprenticeship and School Insights strategy within Junior Talent
  • Ensure consistent and continuous development and conversion of talent from D&I talent pipelines across all teams, working in partnership with the D&I team
  • Additionally we would look for this role to develop consistent processes, best practise approach and guidelines across all talent acquisition programmes
  • Execute other key projects as required
  • Overall Skills, Capabilities and Knowledge Required :

  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Significant experience of operating and achieving results in a large, regulated, complex, fast paced, matrixed global financial services organization (or equivalent) with multiple stakeholders
  • Highly competent at shaping ideas and solutions and collaborating closely with subject matter experts, to ensure efficient and effective implementation
  • Attention to detail and consistency whilst balancing multiple simultaneous projects
  • Ability to influence a wide number of stakeholders both within the region and globally
  • A strong communicator, both in writing and spoken communications
  • An analytical mind set, comfortable with working with structured and unstructured data and shape it into actionable insight
  • Desirable Experience :

  • Understanding of the entire Talent Acquisition Life Cycle, from initial hiring to business manager and senior leader engagement and the key processes and governance within the cycle.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. data indexing, pivot tables and charts, compound formulas) or any other visualisation or statistical packages (Tableau, SAS, SPSS).
