Job Description

Please note that the working hours for this role are as follows : Monday to Friday 08.30 16.30

This position is responsible for leading supplier sourcing / selection activities and successfully managing the supplier relationship to ensure Eurofins supply chain delivers quality goods and services in a timely manner at the overall best value for the company.

  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
  • Drive compliance and governance around the Procure to Pay process with all Eurofins entities
  • Process PR to PO for assigned businesses.
  • Promotes purchasing strategies that will meet service level goals and support overall bottom line performance of the company.
  • Evaluate sources of supply and develop optimal pricing methodology, warranty, and product / service performance requirements.
  • Determine how to acquire the necessary products and services at the maximum level of savings.

  • Support the procurement of capital projects.
  • Identify new sources of supply and potentially acceptable new products / technologies. Establish / develop / maintain professional relationships with suppliers / partners based on the highest ethical business practices.
  • Act as the Purchasing Expert for assigned businesses and know the market drivers, supplier base, emerging technologies, regulatory factors, category spend by supplier, and key performance metrics.
  • Exhibit ownership of the entire supply chain for assigned category.

  • Perform market analysis and financial analysis to determine business risk associated with a supplier or contract. Mitigate risk as necessary through appropriate sourcing and contractual strategies.
  • Lead post-merger integration activities for assigned acquisitions. Activities include deployment of Eurofins standard Procure to Pay system and implementing contracts for cost savings within three months of close.
  • Work cross functionally with internal stakeholders to Procurement Activities meet Business Units expectations. Develop and implement action plans where appropriate to improve satisfaction.
  • Training new associates on Eurofins NSC Sourcing and Procurement processes.
  • Qualifications

  • Degree in Business or other relevant concentration.
  • It is essential that you have proven experience in in a purchasing role within procurement or a related field
  • CIPS membership or working towards would be desirable
  • Working knowledge of purchasing systems and practices is essential.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving
  • Experience with COUPA Purchasing System would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office (word, excel)
  • A customer focused approach with pleasant demeanour.
  • Effective communication skills.

  • Full clean driving licence and car owner
