Customer Service / Order Fulfilment Agent

Salary £19,760.00 plus bonus

Full Time Permanent

Location Syston Leicestershire

The Role

The role entails taking inbound calls from a variety of customers ranging in size from individual builders all the way to large national organisations offering prices, product info, support on issues and aftercare where necessary.

Full training will be provided in this position to ensure you are consistently able to deliver within the role

The responsibilities will include the following :

  • Answer incoming calls in a polite and professional manner, listening to customer needs
  • Create, amend and confirm customer orders whether on account or as a cash sale, completing all necessary customer order details accurately
  • Professionally liaising with internal and external colleagues where relevant to ensure a high level of customer service is maintained
  • Accurately process quote and order creation, invoices, queries, service charges, sundry invoices,
  • Being multi-skilled and developing knowledge of all roles within the team and across business lines / areas to provide cover when requested by management.
  • Effectively develop and maintain a good level of team morale, supporting colleagues to achieve business goals and objectives
  • Understand production and truck capabilities and negotiate realistic delivery times with customers considering other orders on the day.
  • Offering the best solution, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Acquire and apply market, product and customer knowledge to the day to day operation of the business.

    As a customer service agent, you will be a key part of a team that will manage customer experience from price to delivery.

    The role requires a professional, confident, motivated individual or thrives on human interaction and working as part of a dynamic team

    We are looking for motivated people who have worked with people to help serve, sell and negotiate with the following skills :

  • Ability to interact with people and build relationships with customers and colleagues at all levels
  • Can negotiate and is comfortable presenting buying options to customers.
  • Be goal and target driven, previous experience within a target-based environment will be beneficial
  • Have a high level of accuracy specifically with regards to inputting information onto databases and systems such as Excel
  • Self-motivated and resilient in times of challenge.
