  • Role Description

    Capco are looking for Finance Change candidates with deep knowledge of the Finance Domain. You will have strong change management experience and a background in financial services.

    A background in consultancy is always appreciated but never a necessity.

    The type of projects we cover are :

  • Target Operating Model We help organisations to design and implement new finance target operating models to drive increased value from the finance function, including organisation design, rightsizing, location strategy, finance / risk / treasury integration and workforce training / re-skilling
  • Process We help organisations to optimise their finance processes throughout the function, including process mapping / modelling, process design (e.
  • g. Lean Six Sigma), SECAR, design thinking and automation

  • Accounting Standards / Regulation We support organisations in meeting their regulatory commitments and in responding to changes in accounting rules, including IFRS / GAAP changes, BCBS, capital requirements, planning & stress tests (BCBS / CCAR), internal controls (e.
  • g. SOX compliance), audit and regulatory examination support (S166)

  • Finance Technology We deliver Technology change within finance functions, including architecture design; ERP Implementation;
  • Robotic Process Automation (RPA), machine learning / artificial intelligence, cloud adoption and finance / risk integration

  • Data We deliver end-to-end finance data management solutions to our clients, including data governance, data quality, data lineage, analytics and visualisation
  • In your role as a Finance Change Consultant you will have responsibility for :

  • Delivering on client assignments
  • Ensuring client satisfaction by providing timely, value-added services that meet or exceed expectation
  • Manage stakeholder expectations spanning global business areas with conflicting priorities
  • Developing long-term trusted advisor relationships with external clients and industry contacts
  • Ensuring management information is provided to and easily understood by programme lead, senior management & committees
  • Leading a matrix management team, secure resources when needed, and leverage team member competencies to promote project interests and completion of objectives
  • Managing programme budgets and benefits tracking across business & IT resourcing spend
  • Ensuring timely escalation & control of risks, issues, dependencies and timelines
  • Establishing best practices for development, leading Proof of Concept exercises for planning and reporting
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of a project on a day-to-day basis, using specialist knowledge to make operational improvements as opportunities permit
  • Understanding business models and help translate this into business requirements and test scenarios for handover to IT partners
  • Working collaboratively with relevant teams Identifying opportunities for and securing new business
  • Supporting the sharing of knowledge and experience with the team to develop colleagues and the capability of the firm
  • Finance / Accounting

  • Good understanding of financial and management accounting concepts e.g. profit & loss, balance sheet, capital allocation, cost allocation
  • Good understanding of the role of the Finance function within financial services organisations, including all aspects of the finance operating model (people, data, technology,
  • Experience of delivering transformation projects within finance functions, either as a consultant or as part of an in-house change-delivery team.
  • This could be finance technology projects (e.g. ERP implementations), right-shoring or other operating model transformations or finance process-improvement

  • Understanding of the impact of the relationship between finance and other functions (risk, tax, compliance etc.)
  • Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) desired
  • PM / BA

  • Experience in managing change projects, including resource management, budgeting, communications and governance
  • Knowledge of formal project management methods e.g. Prince 2 (desirable)
  • Understanding of the project lifecycle from requirements through to implementation
  • Strong Business Analysis and demonstrated problem-solving skills, with an ability to work with stakeholders across all business functions to define requirements
  • Ability to Work with technology partners to translate these requirements into functional and technical design

  • Well-developed interpersonal, organizational, negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills

  • You will have excellent communication skills; with the ability to quickly gain credibility and build effective relationships with senior stakeholders.

    Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mind-set are fundamental to success in this role. Candidates will be expected to lead the delivery of changes and must be able to deal effectively with a wide range of technical and functional delivery groups to oversee delivery.
