About the team

The Global Deal Hub team is responsible for providing assistance to the sales and legal teams to structure and negotiate new contracts and addendums across FIS Globally.

What you will be doing

As the EMEA Deal Planner, you will be responsible for promoting early engagement with the Sales team to view pricing, margins, structure and revenue recognition treatment for multi-

faceted software license and services contracts in the EMEA Region.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • You will ensure the appropriate revenue recognition for all revenue arrangements under US GAAP and Company policy and escalate revenue recognition issues accordingly to Corporate Revenue Assurance.
  • You will standardize, document, systemize pricing across Groups; you will participate in the structuring of contracts with a laser focus on pricing requirements and impact.

  • You will work with contract management to proactively seek out and profile non-standard deals in the pipeline, coordinate reviews with stakeholders in the business unit and drive value through pricing and contract structuring.
  • You will gain trust and confidence of key business and sales leaders in order to be brought into deal planning sessions and become a trusted advisor.
  • You will prepare contract write ups for material license fee and services arrangements.
  • You will work closely with Group CFOs and Business Unit FPA team concerning revenue forecasting and provide supporting data as required.
  • You will be a lead participant on sales calls to provide the bridge between sales and business unit finance. You will run connection calls with Group participants to communicate status, dependencies, and risks on current deals in focus.

  • You have an excellent understanding of organization’s business systems and industry requirements
  • You possess In-depth knowledge of financial services industry practices, regulations and processes
  • You have advanced knowledge of the tools, techniques and principles used in business process development, documentation and re-engineering
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, and are able to influence and persuade others on the best approach to take.
  • You have excellent training / presentation skills to educate the organization on new or updated processes
  • You have outstanding analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team-building, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
  • Added bonus if you have

  • You have extensive experience in Software organization and / or Finance team with a mindset for measurable, actionable, and controllable analysis and comfort with qualitative and quantitative assessments.
  • You have a reasonable understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition accounting standard
  • You have a working knowledge of the financial complexities present in the software industry
  • You have broad knowledge of FIS’ products and services, business practices and processes
