The Role :

It is an exciting time here at City Plumbing. We ve recently become a stand alone business with private-equity backing, commiting to improve the way we interact with our customers.

To do this, we’re looking to employ a number of Customer Service Advisors to work within our ever growing Customer Service team.

On a day to day basis you’ll be dealing with all aspects of customer contact into the business, including providing a first class after sales service to support our website and contract customers.

This means on a typical day you could be responding to emails, processing orders, coordinating deliveries, organising collections with carriers, reacting to failed deliveries, issuing refunds, and general admin duties.

No two days will be the same, and our colleagues genuinely love to help our Customers with their enquiries.

This is a hybrid-based role. You’ll be working a mixture of home working and attending our newly refurbished office in Crick, Northamptonshire, on a rota basis (J18 of the M1).

There is a mixture of work patterns currently available within our Customer Service teams. A member of the hiring team will talk you through this so you can decide what works best for you.

This means you could live in Brixworth, Broughton, Coventry, Crick, Daventry, Desborough, Hinckley, Kelmarsh, Kettering, Leicester, Long Buckby, Lutterworth, Market Harborough, Northampton, Nuneaton, Rothwell, Rugby, Southam.

As long as you can commute to Crick, Northamptonshire, we want to hear from you!

You :

You’ll live and breathe our Customer First ethos, with an passionate and proactive approach to good customer service. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with the wider Service team and you’ll be committed to acting with integrity and honesty in everything you do.

Required skills and competencies :

Demonstrate some experience working in a call centre or customer service environment - specifically taking inbound calls and dealing with inbound and outbound emails.

Be profficient in basic IT in order to learn our computer systems and processes.

Be competent in dealing with customers, and external suppliers and carriers.

Have a good grasp of written English and a great, personable telephone manner.

Have a positive, can do attitude , and enjoy working as part of a team

Be able to have difficult conversations and use your complaint handling experience.

It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and / or markets, and worked with the following products and / or services : Building Merchants, Call Centre, Call Handler, Complaints Handler, Construction, Customer Relationship Advisor, Customer Service Advisor, Customer Service Assistant, Plumbing and Heating, Retail, Telesales.
