YOUR ROLE

Our CEVA Showfreight team are an award-winning, specialist logistics service for the exhibition and wider events sector.

  • We have the experience, flexibility, speed, and commitment to deliver exhibition goods anywhere in the world. We deliver on time;
  • every time and we have an exciting opportunity for a customer centric and dynamic Account Manager to join our team at the NEC in Birmingham.

    As the Account Manager you will be responsible for a single account, covering all aspects of the events and exhibition portfolio.

    Some international travel will be required across Europe, Middle and the Far East and flexibility to working hours will be needed to support with out of hours and weekend requirements.

    WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

    As the Account Manager, you will have proven experience of working in the exhibitions and events sector you will have full management of logistics services such as site handling, customer clearance procedures, multimodal shipping, road shows, traffic management and on-site management for events worldwide.

    You will manage up to 150 shipments per year to events across the globe for your aerospace and defense client.

    It is crucial that you manage and maintain working partnerships with your customer base and internal senior management teams to secure contract development, renewals and negotiating commercial terms.

    You will assist in achieving budgeted sector targets, cost efficiency and the delivery of excellent operational solutions to customers and their agents.

    You will also have responsibility for leading, managing and coordinating a team to ensure that customer service excellence, efficiency, financial, quality and safety targets are achieved and exceeded.

    The team is also closely involved with the development of business opportunities through cross-selling between Logistics and Freight Management as well as the wider development and maximisation of opportunities with the international network of Showfreight agents, therefore an understanding of international logistics movements, such as worldwide shipping, including shipping restrictions and compliance would be desirable.

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    To be successful in your application you will have proven exhibitions and events account management experience, ideally within a 3PL logistics environment and able to demonstrate some knowledge in airfreight, seafreight, European road transport and an understanding of customs regulations and standards.

    You will be able to demonstrate a forward-thinking approach with the ability to actively contribute to solutions, taking both a strategic and tactical view.

    You will have exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact and engage with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

    An understanding of operating processes and capabilities, business process standardisation and enabling technologies are also key requirements for this role.

    Within this role, you will support your client with billing and accounting, therefore knowledge of processing supplier accounts, client billing and P&L would be desirable.

    There will also be a considerable amount of time spent away from home assisting with events, exhibitions, and projects therefore flexibility and dedication are required.

    You will also need a Clean UK Driving License.
